Canadian RV rental firm CanaDream Corp. reported flat sales and a decrease in earnings for its fiscal first quarter, ended July 31.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company posted revenues of $6.65 million (Canadian) compared with $6.7 million last year while earnings decreased 12.4% to $1.3 million compared to $1.5 million.
CanaDream said the quarter saw slightly higher numbers of average unit availability and a 3.3% higher number of rental nights, but average rental rate per night decreased by 3.3% in the face of competitive industry pricing.
The company also reported that investment in its rental fleet was $28.34 million through the end of July, representing an 17% increase from the year prior.
