Preparations are underway now for the 41st annual International Caravan Salon, the huge trade/consumer RV show in Dusseldorf, Germany.
This year’s Caravan Salon will begin with the trade visitor and media day on Aug. 30. The show will open to consumers on Aug. 31 and continue through Sept. 8.
More than 500 exhibitors from 20 countries and 150,000 visitors are expected for this year’s event, according to Messe Dusseldorf GmbH, the organizer.
Caravan Salon 2001 also attracted 150,000 visitors and 498 exhibitors from 20 nations.
Most of the exhibitors last year were from Germany, but 26% of the exhibitors were from outside of Germany. Italy was the leading foreign exhibitor nation with 43 companies represented at last year’s Caravan Salon. Italy was followed by the Netherlands, France, Denmark and Austria.
About 20,000 consumers from outside of Germany visited last year’s Caravan Salon with the largest foreign continent arriving from the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain.
