The operators of the fairgrounds in Dusseldorf, Germany, will make another building available for this year’s Caravan Salon, allowing Europe’s largest RV trade and consumer show to grow even larger.
Messe Dusseldorf, operators of the event, will make the 58,000-square-foot Hall 13 available for this year’s Caravan Salon to allow for exhibiting more RVs and accessories indoors.
This year’s 43rd annual Caravan Salon is scheduled for Aug. 27 through Sept. 5.
The opening of Hall 13 also will allow Caravan Salon attendees to enter the fairgrounds from northeast, which should make the entry process easier.
Last year’s Caravan Salon attracted 164,235 attendees, according to Messe Dusseldorf.
This year, more than 500 companies, including a handful from North America, are expected to exhibit motorized and towable RVs, electrical appliances, water supply systems and camping equipment during Caravan Salon 2004.
TourNatur, a hiking and camping enthusiasts’ retail show, also will take place at the Dusseldorf fairgrounds Sept. 3-5, intentionally overlapping Caravan Salon because both events appeal to many of the same people, according to the organizers.
