The Domani, a concept fifth-wheel trailer incorporating both marine and automotive influences from Carriage Inc., Millersburg, Ind., is on display this week for the first time at the 44th Annual National RV Trade Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, Ky. Expected to be in production in April, Domani, which will feature three 29 to 32-foot floorplans with an empty weight of about 9,000 pounds, is intended for towing by half- or three-quarter-ton pickup trucks. “There isn’t a straight corner on it,” said Don Emahiser, vice president of sales and marketing. The interior bear similarities to a yacht. “It’s all curves, radiuses and angles. There is a feeling or more space in the 30-footer than any other 30-footer on the market.” With aluminum-and-gelcoat fiberglass construction, Domani will have automotive body accents, LED lights, frameless windows and chrome accents. MSRPs are expected to be between $60,000 to $70,000.
