Cequent Performance Products, a key North American manufacturer of towing and trailer parts, announced a “union of brands” as Bargman and Wesbar become WesBarg.

According to a press release, the merger, which began in 2014, will cover the entire spectrum of both brands, starting with new products released in 2015. All current Bargman and Wesbar products are expected to complete the transition to the new brand in 2016.

“The legacy of these two brands and their strongholds in the marketplace make this merger a win-win,” said Tom Benson, president, Cequent Performance Products. “Our customers will continue to receive the first-class service and dependability of the Bargman and Wesbar brands; but now, as the positioning statement says, ‘We’ve Got It Wired’ under one unified brand.”

The new WesBarg brand is backed by more than 160 years of excellence, providing a selection of options for agricultural, industrial, marine, recreation and utility manufacturers, in addition to commercial truck, light-duty trailer manufacturers, and their respective aftermarkets. WesBarg products are made waterproof, sealed, submersible, shock-resistant to handle extreme environments.

“The transition to one brand will streamline our production of our lighting and electrical products, while allowing us to maintain the quality and performance our customers have come to expect,” Benson said.

During the transition, customers can expect to see new products come out first with the new packaging. Products currently in the market will change over as new production orders are placed.
