After months of preparation, Cequent Performance Products has moved its Canadian warehouse. The distribution site, previously located in Burlington, is now housed in a larger facility in Mississauga.
“The move was originally planned for later this year, but we decided to move up the date when the building became available earlier than planned,“ said Paul Lashmit, director of distribution and logistics, in a press release. “This new facility showcases Cequent’s growth in the Canadian marketplace and allows us to better serve our customers.”
The new warehouse is nearly 42,000 square feet, more than double the size of the current facility. It includes twice the space for product containment, nearly 4,000 square feet of office space, additional room for training and four dock doors, significantly improving Cequent’s ability to ship product quickly and efficiently.
“Our customers are the most important part of this equation, and we want to do everything in our power to make sure they have the products they need to run their businesses smoothly,” said Lashmit, noting the move took place Sept. 29-30.
Shipping ceased during this time to allow all components of the warehouse to be moved to the new location. However, shipping has now resumed.
