RVing is experiencing an upswing in China as there is growing enthusiasm for the industry in the world’s most populous country.
According to a press release, the rise in popularity is confirmed by this year’s All in Caravaning (AiC), which will be moving to a bigger exhibition center in Beijing due to its expansion. Set for June 22-25, AiC will be held for the first time at the Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center.
“With this year’s event we will be taking the event to the next level of quality. In addition to growth in terms of exhibition space and exhibitor numbers we also expect a record number of visitors. These impressive developments at AiC prove that caravanning ranks ever higher in Chinese society as a form of holiday making,” said Stefan Koschke, global head of Caravaning & Outdoor.
This is also helped, he says, by the quickly growing middle classes with great purchasing power that are now discovering the RV lifestyle. “The development of the RV industry is also very much favored by the dynamic expansion of campsites and caravan tourism offerings,” adds Koschke.
The Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center is a state-of-the-art facility encompassing nearly 115,000 square feet of exhibition space that will feature over 700 national and international exhibitors including campsite providers. Organizers estimate that 30,000 visitors are expected.
“In view of the booming market demand and constantly growing exhibition space we need a larger exhibition platform to develop AiC into a bigger and even more successful trade fair. With the new fairgrounds we not only meet current growth requirements but also the quality expectations for this event,” said Axel Bartkus, general manager at Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
