The eighth staging of “All in Caravaning” (AIC), the leading trade fair for campervans and caravan in China, exceeded last year’s record results, according to a press release.
According to a press release, about 700 exhibitors from 22 countries showcased more than 200 brands on 398,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Etrong International Exhibition and Convention Center in Beijing. AIC reported that 48% of the companies were international exhibitors.
The three-day exhibition attracted over 4,000 visitors from Hong Kong, the Taiwan region, Germany, France, Australia, Italy, Canada, India, Mongolia, South Korea, Japan as well as other countries, representing an increase of 8% compared to the previous edition. About 500 RVs were on display.
“When All in Caravaning started here in China in 2012, RVing wasn’t known to many people in China. In the meantime, caravaning is becoming more and more popular, and we are sure the show will grow and has a very bright future,” said Wolfram N. Diener, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf. “We see the rise in visitor numbers as a clear indication of the growing interest in caravan vacationing. The innovations presented here went down excellently and the sales concluded also exceeded expectations.”
In addition to vehicles, accessories and outdoor products have also gained in popularity. All in Caravaning featured the latest electrical appliances, kitchen and bathroom furniture, camping equipment and caravan improvement products.
An extensive ancillary program complemented the exhibits, including conferences and lectures to enhance international exchange and learn about future trends in the industry. Special highlights were the 1st Asian RV Conference, the Sino-German Dealer Workshop and the Sino-German Guided Camping Experience Exchange Meeting. More than 800 participants took part.
The next staging of “All in Caravaning” will take place in June 2020 in Beijing.
