Onan Corp.’s national network of Coach Care service centers has opened a new facility at Tom Stinnett RV Freedom Center in Clarksville, Ind.
According to a press release, the opening marks the first Coach Care center to be located at an RV dealership by the Minneapolis, Minn.-based power generator supplier.
A business unit of Cummins Inc., Columbus, Ind., Onan had previously partnered with Cummins franchised service centers and opened facilities on-site.
Onan said the Stinnett site, which will be operated by Cummins Cumberland of Louisville, Ky., was chosen due to its high profile location on Interstate 65 and because it provided “the potential to raise Coach Care’s visibility among RVers” in the region.
“If we see a positive response to this facility, we could potentially see more Coach Care centers at dealerships in the future in areas where certifying the local Cummins service center may not be feasible due to location or being able to meet facility requirements,” said Onan’s Coach Care development manager, Bill Gibson. “The key to this however is that the local Cummins distributor is always involved as an active participant providing, at a minimum, engine, generator and chassis service.”
According to the release, Coach Care facilities offer RVers one-stop, “bumper-to- bumper” warranty work.
Currently, centers are located in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.
