Officials with Coachmen Industries Inc., announced the company is offering financing to retail buyers of Coachmen, Georgie Boy, Sportscoach and Viking brand RVs.
The Elkhart, Ind., company’s credit subsidiary, Coachmen Financial Services, has partnered with the retail sales unit of GE Consumer Finance to provide the retail-financing package.
According to a press release, the retail-financing services complement the dealer wholesale inventory financing program that Coachmen Financial Services made available last year.
GE’s financing program is available through a network of more than 700 Coachmen, Georgie Boy, Sportscoach and Viking dealers throughout the U.S.
Designed to provide one-stop financing for Coachmen’s customers, the program includes closed-end, consumer installment options at competitive rates and terms, fast credit decisions and special credit promotions.
“This is the first time Coachmen Industries has collaborated with another company to provide full-service financing options for our retail customers,” said Joseph Tomczak, executive vice president and CFO of Coachmen Industries.
For qualified customers of authorized dealers, financing is available for both new and used RVs.
In the near future, an online application will render a loan approval even before a potential customer visits a dealer while a Coachmen-brand credit card will make revolving credit for RV parts and accessories easy and affordable.
“Whether it’s a motorhome, fifth-wheel, travel trailer or folding camper, we’re determined to make the purchase affordable for the first-time or experienced RV buyer,” noted Dave Fasoli, senior vice president of Retail Sales Finance, a part of GE Consumer Finance.
Michael Terlep, Coachmen RV Group President, noted, “We think this is one of the best retail financing packages available today in the RV industry. It’s another important tool we’re making available to our dealers that’s designed to help them operate more efficiently and profitably.”
