Coachmen Industries Inc. has agreed to use the LegalPath Internet-based software to help manage its product warranty litigation.
The RV and modular home and structures builder will use LegalPath to assign many of its product warranty matters to attorneys throughout the country.
“We selected LegalPath because it provides our legal department with the tools that we need to track matters, to communicate with outside counsel and to gather critical management information that will enable us to make informed decisions and better manage our litigation,” said Rick Lavers, Coachmen’s general counsel.
“We anticipate that use of LegalPath will give us better predictability of our legal defense costs and will significantly reduce the administrative burden of reviewing and processing legal bills,” Lavers added.
LegalPath allows Coachmen to continue using the law firms it has used over the years and to locate and retain attorneys with whom the company has not had a relationship in the past, Lavers said.
LegalPath is a product developed by Examen Inc. of Sacramento, Calif.
