Coachmen Industries Inc. plans to sell the assets of Lux Co., a supplier of seating to the RV, office furniture and healthcare industries.

The prospective buyer wants to remain anonymous and the proposed transaction price was not revealed, said Rich Allen, Coachmen’s spokesman.

The sale would include Lux Co.’s real estate, machinery and equipment, inventories and receivables.

The sale is scheduled to close Sept. 29.

The new owner will retain Lux’ employees.

“With this divestiture we will be re-deploying assets into our core businesses, RVs and modular construction,” said Claire Skinner, Coachmen’s chairman and CEO.

For RV industry customers, Lux builds sofa beds, convertible pit groups, swivel chairs and ergonomic pilot seats.
