Coast's RV parts catalog

The Coast Distribution System has issued a new RV Replacement Parts Catalog, designed to make it easy for RV dealers and service personnel to find and order replacement and repair parts for accessories from many major manufacturers.

According to a press release, brands represented in the catalog include Atwood, Carefree, Husky, Dinosaur, Coleman-Mach, Norcold, Powerhouse, Nordic, Suburban, Thetford and Winegard.

The 560-page catalog provides numerous schematics and exploded product illustrations, and includes a complete list of parts, the manufacturer part number and the Coast Distribution SKU to make ordering easy.

“Coast has included the most up-to-date information available in the 2012 RV Replacement Parts Catalog,” said Steve Holt, director of brand marketing for Morgan Hill, Calif.-based Coast.

The company also announced the introduction of its Husky Center Line weight distribution and sway control system, the industry’s “first self-centering sway control system.”

Center Line sway system

Compression cylinder action and torsion spring bars work together to distribute weight and oppose trailer sway before it begins, keeping a trailer straight, on center, during all driving conditions.

Coast said that “passive sway control towing systems rely on clamping to provide static friction that reduces, but does not eliminate trailer sway.” Such systems require continual adjustment to maintain friction and do not promote centering of the trailer behind the tow vehicle.

The Center Line system’s patented technology creates centering forces that work against the tendency to sway, self-centering the trailer. The system can be used in all driving and weather conditions including backing-up. The “Easy Adjust” head alignment systems and the streamlined sturdy bracket design allow quick and easy set-up at time of installation.

The Center Line system comes in three models for use with Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) up to 14,000 pounds and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
