Coast Distribution System Inc. reports its net earnings increased 75% and its sales revenue was up 20% during the first quarter.
Chairman and CEO Tom McGuire attributed the performance to “continued strong demand for our products (and) improved service to our customers, which we believe has enabled us to increase market share.”
Coast, an American Stock Exchange-listed company, earned almost $1.5 million during the three months ended March 31, compared with $836,000 in the first three months of 2003.
The company’s sales totaled $48.7 million during the first three months of this year, compared with $40.6 million a year earlier.
Coast supplies around 15,000 RV and boat dealers around the U.S. and Canada through 17 distribution centers.
