Coast to Coast Resorts, a network of private and public RV parks and campgrounds converted on Thursday (Jan. 1) to a new reservations system intended to revolutionize the outdoor hospitality industry and provide a new way to travel for its nearly 150,000 members, according to Grant Miller, president.
The new real-time online reservations system, called Tripsetter, enables Coast to Coast Resorts members to save money when they visit any of the over 300 top-rated private CampResorts in the U.S., Canada and Mexico or the more than 350 affiliated RV parks and campgrounds that are part of the Coast to Coast Good Neighbor Park network, Miller said.
Using Tripsetter, Coast to Coast’s online reservation system, members can search online for participating affiliates or Good Neighbor parks as well as confirm availability and book reservations online. It provides 24-hour access and members can manage, reserve, modify or cancel reservations.
As far as resort operators are concerned, Tripsetter allows them to manage Coast to Coast members’ stays by providing real-time check-in, check-out and allowing for editing arrivals and departures. It also allows resorts to accommodate Coast to Coast members who drive up without a reservation.
Additionally, the 31-year-old Camping Cards system has been replaced by Trip Points, a paperless medium of exchange that allows Coast to Coast members to pay for vacation activities electronically. Trip Points can be used to pay for campsites, cabins. luxury park models, condominiums or even teepees at many network locations.
“More than the premier reciprocal-use camping system, Coast to Coast Resorts will become the foremost provider of seamless, integrated solutions for the outdoor hospitality industry,” said Miller, who added that Coast to Coast is seeking strategic business partners and alliances to create new travel- and leisure-related products and services while enhancing existing offers to its membership and affiliate network.
The Coast to Coast club is a unit of Affinity Group Inc. (AGI), as is TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.COM.
