City officials in Columbus, Ga., a community southwest of Atlanta along the Alabama border, may agree to develop an RV park as a means of attracting tourism dollars to the community, according to WTVM-TV in Columbus.
At least the staff of the Columbus Convention & Visitor’s Bureau wants the city to build an RV campground to bring more Baby Boomer RVers to the city, the TV station reported.
Columbus also is located along the Chattahoochee River, and there are Convention & Visitor’s Bureau staff members who believe a combined marina/RV campground would be the best way to go.
