The conversion vehicle industry’s sharp decline continued during February, according to data gathered by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).

Van conversions, the largest sector of the conversion vehicle industry, experienced nearly a 60% decline in February, the RVIA reported.

Van Conversion shipments from manufacturers to auto dealers declined 58.2% in February to 2,800 units. After the first two months of this year, van conversion deliveries were down 52% to 6,100 units.

Meanwhile, shipments of converted pickups declined 59.1% in February to 900 units and converted pickup deliveries were down 50% after the first two months of this year to 2,300 units.

Shipments of converted sport utility vehicles (SUVs) also declined 16.7% in February to 500 units and converted SUV deliveries were down 23.1% after the first two months of this year to 1,000 units.
