The wholesale market for conversion vehicles continued shrinking in September, according to data gathered by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).
Shipments of converted vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) declined 28.3% in September to 9,100 units, the RVIA reports.
After the first nine months of this year, total conversion vehicle shipments from manufacturers to dealers were down 21.6% to 95,000 units.
Van conversion deliveries were down 28.4% in September to 6,300 units, according to the RVIA. After the first nine months of this year, van conversion shipments were down 25.5% to 61,800 units.
Deliveries of converted pickups were down 26.7% in September to 2,200 units and they were down 0.4% after the first nine months of this year to 27,800 units.
Shipments of converted SUVs were down 33.3% in September to 600 units and they were down 47.6% after the first nine months of this year to 5,400 units.
