Shipments of conversion vehicles from manufacturers to auto dealers were sharply lower again during July, according to data gathered by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).

Van conversion shipments declined 25% in July to 4,500 units and they are down 46% after the first seven months of this year to 26,800 units.

Meanwhile, deliveries of converted pickups fell 51.7% in July to 1,400 units and they were down 52% after the first seven months of this year to 10,900 units.

Shipments of converted sport utility vehicles (SUVs) also plunged 40% in July to 300 units and they were down 27.9% after the first seven months of this year to 3,100 units.
