Clackamas, Ore.-based Komfort Corp. has introduced its lightweight Satellite towable series, sporting TekModo CosmoLite composites in the substrate, floor and roof. “The interior also is unique because it has composite cabinets that look like they have solid raised panel doors for 20% of the weight of a normal door,” said Jerry Sell, national sales manager for the Thor subsidiary’s composite division. The Satellite is available in travel trailer and fifth-wheel floorplans in 24- to 31-foot lengths. “Not only is CosmoLite significantly lighter, but it is also three times stronger than the wood substrates it replaces,” said President John Attila, adding that CosmoLite is also formaldehyde free. Retail prices start in the mid-$30,000s.
