Luxury motor coach manufacturer Country Coach announced today (March 31) the immediate re-opening of its manufacturing and sales operations in Junction City, Ore.
CEO Jay Howard commented on the re-opening, stating in a news release, “We are pleased that every 2010 model year motorcoach will be handcrafted by our most qualified and most experienced people and will be the finest coaches built anywhere in the world. Our new business plan calls for a systematic re-opening of operations, with an immediate staffing of approximately 100 people.”
The production rate will be well below current retail market demand. However, the company will require a substantial backlog of orders before planning any increases in production. “We are pleased to once again be in a position to bring our hard-working craftsmen back to work,” Howard added.
Company CFO Mark Andersen noted the intense organizational efforts that have led to the company’s re-opening. “We have many to thank for our new beginning,” he said. “Our unsecured creditors, our investors, our property owners, our customers, and our bank; all have worked hard to get us here. We have a solid and practical business plan, and we are excited to get started on implementation today.”
Jim Howard, senior vice president of sales and service, was enthusiastic about the company’s expanded abilities to serve new clients. “The heart of our business plan is our factory-direct model,” said Jim Howard. “Starting today, the buyer of a 2010 Country Coach motorcoach will be fully supported by the very people who designed and built their coach. We have an ambitious vision for ultimate customer care, and believe the direct approach is the only way to deliver the personal attention that buyers of the world’s finest motorcoaches deserve.”
Jim Howard also noted that he expects Country Coach’s direct sales phone number of (800) 654-0223 as well as its interactive website, www.countrycoach.com, to be in operation no later than Wednesday (April 1).
