Junction City, Ore.-based Country Coach Inc. announced plans to hire 150 to 175 workers by the end of the year, according to the Associated Press.
The high-end motorhome builder has increased its workforce 50% over the past 18 months, while production and shipments have doubled, the company said.
The additional jobs will be spread over various departments, including steel fabrication, cabinetry, plumbing, painting, interior design and engineering, spokeswoman Carol Taylor Clay said.
Country Coach also is planning to spend millions of dollars on a 250,000-square-foot expansion.
The company is a subsidiary of National RV Holdings, based in Perris, Calif. Throughout the first half of the year, sales at Country Coach increased 108% to $104 million, compared with the same period in 2003.
