Country Coach Inc. is eyeing real estate in west Eugene, Ore., as it searches for more production space while it waits for approval to add to its Junction City campus, according to the Register-Guard.
Country Coach’s parent, National RV Holdings, Perris, Calif., is talking with the Philadelphia-based owner of Rosen Products LLC about buying Rosen’s former factory in the Greenhill Technology Park.
The 276,606-square-foot plant sits on 6.35 acres and holds a market value of $5.76 million, according to Lane County property tax records.
“Some offers are going back and forth,” Country Coach spokeswoman Carol Taylor Clay said. “It’s in a very preliminary phase.”
Taylor Clay had no prediction on when, or if, a sale would close. The negotiations will dictate the time frame, she said.
Country Coach in September announced plans to buy 74 acres of farmland south of its Junction City factory, if city officials would include the parcel inside the city’s urban growth boundary and rezone it for light industrial use.
“It would be ideal if we could proceed with something,” Taylor Clay said, “but we know that what’s happening here in Junction City isn’t going to happen fast.”
