Country Coach Inc. provided two luxury motor coaches for use today (Aug. 10) by George W. Bush and his senior staff during the president’s tour of the Caterpillar Inc. facility in Montgomery, Ill.
Caterpillar hosted President Bush as he signed HR3, the Transportation Equity Act, into law.
The measure sets funding levels over the 2004-2009 time frame for critical infrastructure projects, earmarking $286.4 billion for improvements to roads and bridges, rail and bus facilities, bike paths and recreational trails.
Junction City, Ore.-based Country Coach, with the assistance of Al’s Motorhomes of Rockford, Ill., provided a 42-foot 2006 Intrigue 530 for use by the president and a 40-foot 2006 Inspire 360 for his senior staff.
“We are honored to support the president as he signs this important legislation,” said Jay Howard, president of Country Coach. “Every improvement made to America’s national transportation system means an improvement to our customers’ way of life.”
