Participants at Country Coach Inc.’s 19th Annual Reunion Rally, held recently in Eugene, Ore., donated more than $38,000 earmarked for the Gulf Coast to help evacuees of Hurricane Katrina.
According to a press release, the Junction City, Ore., builder combined forces with the Country Coach International owners club and its dealer body to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina relief and also the Children’s Miracle Network.
Rally attendees raised $11,805 for Katrina victims and Country Coach President Jay Howard contributed $10,000 on behalf of the company in matching funds. Dealers in attendance contributed an additional $16,000 to the cause and the Country Coach Casuals logo store added another $1,000 for a total of $38,805.
Country Coach said $36,175 of the donations will be presented to the American Red Cross and $2,630 will be presented to the Salvation Army to support their relief efforts.
The rally’s official charity for this event was the Children’s Miracle Network, which received $5,319 in donations.
