A veteran RVing couple is hosting a caravan through Mexico, acting as guides for RVers unfamiliar with the country.
According to a press release, Bill and Dorothy Bell have traveled to over 400 RV and camping locations throughout Mexico and will lead the caravan starting in late October from Tucson, Ariz., to La Penita Nayarit, Mexico.
“Many first time road travelers to Mexico are a little nervous” says Dorothy Bell. “But with this caravan, they will receive assistance on the proper documentation needed to cross the border plus they will receive an extensive four-hour course on traveling in Mexico before they start.”
A “Mexico On The Road” CD is included in the orientation package. The Bells also host the largest website on camping in Mexico at www.ontheroadin.com.
The caravan meets up on Oct. 24 and leaves two days later for El Mirador Park in San Carlos Sonora, Mexico. The caravan will stay at Los Mochis for one night, followed by two nights in Mazatlan. The final destination is the La Penita RV Park, situated on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Although the caravan portion of the trip is free, participants must guarantee a month stay at the La Penita RV Park and pay a $25 per person registration fee to a maximum of $50 per RV .
