CrossRoads RV, Topeka, Ind., has introduced the SlingShot travel trailer line that includes a 30-foot single-slideout, bunkhouse travel trailer with a dry weight of under 3,700 pounds intended to be towed by 6-cylinder SUVs and minivans. “By accommodating a much larger universe of tow vehicles, the SlingShot has become the best product launch in CrossRoads RV history,” said Mark Lucas, president of the Thor subsidiary. The 8-foot wide SlingShot is available in five 19- to 30-foot floorplans. “Most of the weight savings came through automotive and aerospace components and techniques never before used in this industry,” said Larry Weaver, national sales manager. The trailer, shown at the Louisville Show, is targeted for full production in January. MSRP for the bunkhouse floorplan starts at $22,500.
