Towable manufacturer CrossRoads RV announced the addition of a rain booth to the company’s production complex in Topeka, Ind.

The company reported in a press release that the 50-foot-long rain booth will become a part of CrossRoads’ PDI process. The booth consists of 67 rain heads and delivers 75 gallons of water per minute. The intent is to ensure that each brand the company produces will have a random and regular exposure to this new and exciting quality assurance tool, the company said.

While the rain test is in process, inspectors will be inside the unit for observation to identify any potential leaks in the coach. This test is conducted with the slideouts in the fully extended and retracted positions.  Once testing is complete feedback is given to each plant to provide timely findings and opportunities for product improvement.

“We are excited about the addition of the rain booth to our PDI process,” said Andy Cripe, president of CrossRoads, a Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary. “This new facility allows us to deliver on our mission to provide products of a quality that our dealers and retail customers expect and deserve.”
