“The industry has evolved and developed significantly over the past 20 years, and throughout all of these changes, we have remained focused on our primary reason for being in business – to create affordable family vacations,” said CrossRoads President Andy Cripe in a press release. “CrossRoads has grown and succeeded because of the efforts of our employees, vendors, dealers and customers who together have made this company what it is today and I am proud to be a part of it.”
CrossRoads was co-founded as a private firm by Fritz Helmuth, owner of Topeka’s S&G Metal Products Inc., and partner Darrell Byers, who sold to Thor Industries Inc. in 2004. Initially operating in a 25,000-square-foot plant with 30 employees, the company today has grown to include 550,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 850 employees and 15 different product lines, including Redwood, Cypress, Carriage, Sequoia, Cameo and Rezerve.
In addition, the company last year completed work on a 48,000-square-foot Topeka service center now housing some of the company’s office, service and warehouse staffs.
CrossRoads plans to mark this milestone throughout the year by celebrating with employees, customers at owners rally and dealers.
