Fortune 500 company Cummins Inc. has opened a new 52,500-square-foot service facility in metro Atlanta near the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Columbus, Ind.-based company said more than 65 employees will work in the state-of-the-art facility, which includes a training room for field technicians and environmentally sustainable features like automatic LED lighting and water-saving technology.

Of the new service’s 28 bays, 27 are natural gas enabled service bays, which helps mitigate risks for transit authority and waste disposal customers in the metro Atlanta area, according to a news release.

“The new location allows us to offer a world-class experience to our customers, while providing a safe and efficient workplace for our employees,” said Samer Abughazaleh, South Region president of Cummins Sales and Service, in the release.

Cummins said the upgraded facility will serve on-highway trucks, recreational vehicles, transportation vehicles, marine, construction, agriculture, as well as generator applications for recreation vehicles, residential and commercial buildings.
