Bowling Green, Ky.-based Camping World Inc. (CWI) opened a new retail operation in Syracuse, N.Y., as part of a joint venture with Myer’s RV Superstores.
According to a press release, the new 12,000-square-foot building was added on to the existing Meyer’s facility, located along the Interstate 90 and Interstate 690 corridors in Syracuse. Meyer’s is a multi-location retailer in the New York State area and a member of the FreedomRoads dealer network.
“We are excited to now be serving this market alongside Meyer’s RV Superstores who have a great reputation in New York and beyond for their focus on personal customer relationships,” said Camping World President Mark Boggess. “With Camping World, customers will enjoy that same high level of service and commitment.”
The Syracuse location is the latest Camping World opening with new stores recently added in Burlington, Wash., alongside Foley’s RV, and in Ft. Worth, Texas, with McClain’s RV Superstore.
Currently, the national RV accessories retailer operates 47 stores, with more than 350 service bays, in 24 states.
“We are growing at a fast pace in order to serve a strong consumer demand, particularly in areas with lots of recreational opportunities like the Finger Lakes region of New York,” said J.J. Kaye, Camping World northeast district manager.
