RV Life Network, a Dallas-based, RV-lifestyle publisher and operator of multiple owner-forums, has purchased CamperReport.com for an undisclosed amount. The sale takes effect immediately and, according to RV Life, adds 1.9 million unique users to the company’s existing 32 million user base.

Andy Robinowitz, founder and CEO of RV Life parent Social Knowledge LLC, told RVBUSINESS.com that the acquisition will add substantially more RV-focused content to the company’s digital network, whose user-base he claims is growing by double-digits.

Robinowitz noted, “Camper Report has a tremendous amount of quality material — some 700 articles — that will be of interest to our readers. Also, much of this content is product-focused, something our readers tell us they want to see. Going forward, we will build on this content through a weekly series called ‘Product Reviews’ in which we showcase RV manufacturer’s trailers and motorhomes on a model-by-model basis.”

Created in 1984 as a print magazine, RV Life is today 100% digital and features articles sourced from dozens of experts sharing RV lifestyle tips and experiences. In addition to the digital magazine, the RV Life Network is comprised of websites, apps, and online tools that, as the company says, “make camping simple, including CampgroundReviews.com, DoItYourselfRV.com, MaintainMyRV.com, RVSafe GPS, and RVTripWizard.com.

“Some of the most heavily visited sites on the RV Life Network are not your traditional web sites,” Robinowitz said.Instead these are the forums. As an RV industry OEM, dealer, or supplier, you may have run across one or more of these peer-to-peer information exchange groups.” This is an area Robinowitz pioneered in 2002 while restoring his vintage Airstream, he related. He recognized the need to share information and sources with like-minded enthusiasts and created the first-of-its-kind, easy-to-use Airstream owners forum.

RV Life Network also owns and manages many brand-name owner forums like Forest River Forum, Airstream Forum, Jayco Owners Forum, Keystone RV Forum, Winnebago Owners Forum, Dutchmen Owners Forum, Gulfstream Owners Forum, CrossRoads Owners Forum, Montana Owners Forum, and Grand Design Owners Forum.

While Camper Report is RV Life’s most recent acquisition, Robinowitz does not expect the company’s growth to end there. “We will continue to take advantage of new opportunities as they arrive,” he says. “We are building a community that will make it easy for RVers to discover, plan, go, and share their experiences. And for RV OEMs and dealers, a resource to reach an engaged audience numbering in the millions.”
