Damon Motor Coach is debuting the first five-slideout floorplan in a Class A motorhome in its Tuscany diesel pusher series this week at the 44th Annual National RV Trade Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, Ky. Built on a 31,000-pound GVWR Freightliner XC raised-rail chassis powered by a 350-hp Caterpillar C7 engine, the 40-foot Tuscany “Pent” House features three driver-side and two passenger-side slideouts. A double-sided entertainment center room divider – equipped with LCD TVs on each side – creates four distinct rooms inside the coach. “It’s still an open floorplan, but it’s got quite a bit of personality,” said Damon President Bill Fenech. “People want some separation in the living areas. The problem with one big slideout is that you walk in and you see all the way into the bedroom. I don’t think that’s what people want.” This new Damon, standard with full body paint, ceramic tile, halogen lights, three-camera backup system, swivel cockpit seats and side-hinged baggage doors, retails from $215,000.
