Firefighters battled a fire that broke out Saturday (May 9) at the Seven O’s RV Way dealership in Cicero, N.Y. CNYCentral.com reported the fire started around 5:30pm.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found flames burning up the back wall of the store. They faced several challenges fighting this fire, including the heat and the fact that the closest fire hydrants were on the other side of Route 11. As firefighters sprayed water from the outside and worked on the fire inside, the roof began to sag and give way and the Cicero Fire Department Chief, Ron Florczykowski ordered his crew to evacuate the building.

“Crews tried to make entry, but there was a drop ceiling inside so we couldn’t access the fire. As it started breaking through, we were able to get our truck up and flow some water inside. At that point once we started flowing water the ceiling came down,” says Florczykowski.

No one was at the dealership when the fire started and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
