RV dealers can learn about automatic lift safety during a free dealer webinar on Sept. 3 at noon EDT, hosted by the Mike Molino RV Learning Center in conjunction with strategic partner KPA. Participants can register online.

According to a press release, the increased risk of injury involving automotive lifts could leave the RV and auto industries open for further OSHA scrutiny and enforcement. However, enforcement and compliance are only one part of the automotive lift safety puzzle. To protect employees, dealers must understand how common lift incidents occur, how to train employees and comply with regulations, and how to enforce a positive safety culture surrounding lifts.

Automotive lift experts Dale Soos and Mark Homa will join KPA’s Jennifer Blake in this critical webinar, where they will delve into the intricacies of automotive lifts, providing participants with the pieces you need to improve safety and prevent accidents. They will discuss:

  • Why lift accidents occur from a technician and service manager perspective.
  • Preventative measures.
  • The dangers of a poorly trained team.
  • Current OSHA lift enforcement.
  • Common lift issues.
  • How the Automotive Lift Institute online training can help.

Upcoming webinar dates and topics include “Implementing an Effective Safety Culture” on Sept. 17 and “How to Conduct Bulletproof Investigations,” on Sept. 24.  All webinars take place Thursdays at noon. These are provided free of charge to educate your dealership staff in critical areas where expertise matters.
