A free webinar on June 4 will examine wage and hour law and how dealers can protect their company from becoming a target for an investigation or lawsuit. According to a press release, the webinar is presented by the Mike Molino RV Learning Center in conjunction with online marketing firm KPA. Register online.

Presenter Bret Yaw, who specializes in employment law, will help participants learn how to stay compliant and avoid legal liability with labor law. Yaw is an associate at Ford and Harrison LLP. In this webinar, dealers will learn ways to minimize a company’s exposure to state and federal violations. In addition, they will learn about state law versus federal law and how employment law differentiates between an employee and a contractor. Yaw will also present ideas for best practices in wage payment and how to be legal and fair in wage deductions.

If unable to attend at the scheduled time or want specific employees to experience this webinar at another time, dealers can register anyway and receive links to the materials for later viewing. Dealers interested in prior webinar topics will find them on the RV Learning Center’s webinar page. On this page dealership personnel can access the recorded webinar to learn more about important topics including the Family and Medical Leave Act, Nontraditional Recruitment Strategies for Dealership Hiring, and much more.
