Decorator Industries Inc., a supplier of interior furnishings to the RV and manufactured housing industries, reports it earned $305,000 during the first quarter, reversing the $69,000 loss it incurred during the first quarter of 2001.
The Pembroke Pines, Fla.-based firm’s sales revenue increased 11% to $8.9 million during the three months ended March 30.
Market conditions for the RV and manufactured housing industries are improving, although Decorator Chairman William Bassett said, “Manufactured housing continues to face excessive inventories of repossessed homes as well as concerns about credit availability.”
But it appears the RV market will improve steadily during the remainder of this year, Bassett added.
Decorator designs and manufactures draperies, curtains, shades, blinds, bedspreads, valance boards, comforters, pillows and cushions.
