Decorator Industries Inc., a supplier of interior furnishings to the RV and manufactured home industries, earned $252,000 during the final three months of last year despite a 3% decline in sales revenue.
Pembroke Pines, Fla.-based Decorator’s profit during the three months ended Dec. 31 compares with a loss of $718,000 incurred a year earlier.
The company’s fourth quarter sales totaled $8 million, compared with $8.3 million a year earlier.
During the full year 2001, Decorator earned $862,000, compared with $133,000 earned during 2000.
The company’s full year 2001 sales declined 18% to $34.8 million.
Decorator Chairman William Bassett said he was pleased wit the company’s performance last year given the declines in both RVs and manufactured homes. However, he said both industries improved as 2001 progressed and Bassett added that Decorator now is “prepared to take advantage of the opportunities presented by any positive developments in our markets and will continue to explore avenues for additional growth.”
