Decorator Industries Inc., a supplier of interior furnishings to the RV, manufactured home and hospitality industries, returned to profitability during the second quarter.
The company earned $305,800 during the three months ended June 30, more than a fivefold increase from the $58,700 it earned during the April-through-June period of last year.
However, after the first six months of this year, Decorator’s earnings were down 63% to $237,000.
The company’s second quarter sales revenue declined 22% to $9.5 million and its sales during the first half of this year were down 29% to $17.5 million.
For the remainder of this year, Decorator will “maintain a cautious but positive outlook,” said William Bassett, chairman.
