Dicor Corp., a division of Airxcel, is expanding its engineering department, appointing former ASC General Manager Randy Cameron as director of engineering and Larry VanNevel as project engineer.
According to a press release, key to the expansion was the naming of Cameron who brings more than 30 years of experience in areas of mechanical engineering, design, CNC, quality assurance, cost analysis and continuous improvement implementation.
The Indiana University graduate is excited to bring design expansion to his new position, noting, “What I like most about Dicor Corp. is the diversity in products that I will be able to work with. Being an engineer for five brands means working on many different products, I welcome that.”
“Randy will be responsible for the development and testing of new products as well as the improvement and support of existing ones,” said Anthony Wollschlager, president of Dicor Corp. “His position is critical for the growth of product development for Dicor and its divisions and I welcome him in his new role.”
Before joining Dicor, VanNevel worked as a specialty products engineer for Lippert Components Inc., was a marketing consultant for Ambit Energy and a project engineer for Utilimaster. VanNevel is from Mishawaka, Ind.
“Larry has the leadership skills and experience that will support and complement the success and growth of our engineering department,” Wollschlager said. “The position requires a technical mindset and that is Larry’s strength.”
“I’m eager to develop and test new products for Dicor Corp. and its brands. There’s a lot of good things happening at Dicor right now and I’m looking forward to getting started,” VanNevel said.
