First Lady Laura Bush and boxing great Muhammad Ali were able to relax Monday (June 17) in luxury motorhcoaches provided by dealership Tom Raper RVs before the ground breaking for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Tom Raper RVs, Richmond, Ind., also provided a motorhome that the Secret Service detail for the First Lady used to coordinate security and communications during the event.
The Office of the Mayor of Cincinnati asked Tom Raper RVs to help with the gathering.
The dealership provided Holiday Rambler Scepter and Travel Supreme Class A motorhomes for use by the dignitaries. “Both of these units are top-of-the-line models with every convenience of home,” said Dave Bane, general manager of Tom Raper RV.
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is scheduled to open by mid-year 2004. The $110 million facility will include a 35,000-square-foot building, 325-seat theater, cafe and an 8,000-square-foot Welcome Hall.
