Event organizers for the 38th Annual Pennsylvania RV & Camping Show reported that display space sales increased by 5% over 2005 following a drawing attended by manufacturer and supplier representatives last month.
“Having the increase in show space already going over last year’s show is tremendous,” said Dan Salzgiver, show committee chairman, noting space will continue being sold prior to the show. “Not only is the rolling stock space up, but the supplier booth space is up as well.”
The event, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA), will be held at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex in Hershey, Pa., Sept. 11-17. It marks the second year the Hershey facility will host the event after moving from the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
“Our show is the first showing of the new year’s products,” said Salzgiver, adding that PRVCA is anticipating over 1,200 RVs on display. “This is extremely important for the manufactures to get a feeling for how the dealers and pubic view those products.”
PRVCA said the 2006 show offers many new enhancements, including a tram service that will encompass the entire show.
Featured speakers during the industry breakfasts will include veteran sales consultant Randy Sobel and former Miami Dolphins head coach Don Shula, whose career includes winning two Super Bowls and leading the Dolphins to an undefeated season.
