Net sales for the last 12 months1 were approximately EUR 11 million with a good operating margin and strong organic sales growth. Approximately 75% of net sales is in Distribution and Service & Aftermarket. The company is privately owned, has 25 employees and is headquartered in Pescara, Italy.
Background and reasons for the transaction
The electrification trend in the Outdoor industry is strong and further expansion in the market for mobile power solutions is a strategic priority for Dometic. With more and more people spending time outdoors, using a vehicle or boat as their base, the need for off-grid power is driving a rapid increase in the demand for efficient and sustainable mobile power solutions. The acquisition of NDS Energy broadens Dometic’s offering, distribution network and capabilities in this area.
The acquisition is fully financed via cash on hand and is expected to be accretive to Dometic’s EPS from start. The transaction price is not material in relation to Dometic’s market capitalization and is not disclosed. NDS Energy will be reported as part of segment EMEA and the transaction is anticipated to close in the first quarter of 2022.
