Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc., Goshen, Ind., has added more headroom and storage along with an optional front-bedroom slideout on the 2006 Colorado fifth-wheel, a mid-priced line that the company has designated a “mid-profile-plus” lineup. “The best part of the design is that the overall height of the coach does not increase, meaning it is easier to tow and costs thousands of dollars less than high-profile fifth-wheels,” said Matt Buckman, general manager of the Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary’s Colorado division. The extra front space was achieved by redesigning the front profile and roof line to increase headroom in the bedroom and living area. Available in five floorplans in lengths of 27 to 31 feet, the Colorado line features solid wood cabinet face frames and doors, gel-coat front caps, high-gloss fiberglass sidewalls and enclosed underbellies. The optional bed slide accommodates a 60-inch by 80-inch queen bed with a front wall storage system featuring overhead cabinets, mirrored wardrobe closets, drawers and an entertainment center. The 2006 Colorado line retails from $29,000 to $37,000.
