Goshen, Ind.-based Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc. recently laid off about 100 workers, a company official confirmed.
The move leaves about 600 people working for Dutchmen in five plants in Goshen and Middlebury, according to WSBT-TV, South Bend.
There is no recall date for the 100 employees who were let go, said Suzanne Randall, human resources director.
The workers were let go from the plants that produce high-end laminated products for the company, Randall said.
She noted that the layoffs are because of the overall economy and a slowdown in the recreational vehicle industry.
