Another work session intended to help bring business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce to the RV industry is scheduled for Nov. 30 in Louisville.
The gathering will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in South Wing conference rooms 108 and 109. The South Wing is part of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center, the site of the industry’s national trade show, which concludes during the afternoon of Nov. 30.
Stan Sunshine, president and CEO of distributor Stag-Parkway Inc., organized the gathering. Those who have not yet been invited need to contact Sunshine so he could inform the convention center security guards to let you into the building.
Sunshine is spearheading the effort to develop a system that would allow RV industry OEMs, suppliers, distributors and dealers to communicate, process warranty claims and complete transactions “seamlessly” via the Internet.
Because companies in the industry use different computer hardware and software systems, a common ground needs to be found so companies could conduct e-commerce similar to the way people who use different long-distance telephone carriers are still able to communicate, Sunshine said.
