Eleonore Hamm now is the executive vice president of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada (RVDAC), replacing Ernie Hamm, no relation, who retired effective March 1.
Ernie Hamm led the RVDAC for seven years, and RVDAC President Don Ferguson credited him with forming Canada’s Tec Can training program for service technicians and raising RVDAC’s profile within the RV industry.
The RVDAC represents more than 600 dealers and associate members through its provincial and regional associations.
Ernie Hamm, age 65, said he had been thinking about retiring since January 2002. “We are taking the association to a new level in the next three years, which also requires a move to new office space, meaning a commute for me. I think it is time for someone younger with a little more energy to take the reins,” he said.
Eleonore Hamm said her goal would be to increase member participation in the association and formulate partnership programs with RV industry suppliers.
The association’s headquarters remain in British Columbia, but have moved from Vancouver to Suite 204, 6411 Buswell St. Richmond, B.C. V6Y2G5. RVDAC telephone numbers will remain the same.
