Well over 500 Entegra Coach owners drove 285 motorhomes to the Elkhart County 4-H fairgrounds in Goshen, Ind., May 14-17, representing the largest gathering ever for the 4th Annual Entegra Coach Homecoming. Entegra Coach, a division of Jayco Inc., is a maker of high-end Class A diesel pusher motorhomes based in Middlebury, Ind.

Senior Director of Product Development for Jayco Motorhome Group, Pat Carroll, who helps manage the Homecoming for the company provided an overview of what the four-day rally will entail during the event on Wednesday.

“We’ve got more owners and coaches here than we had last year,” he confirmed. “We just opened up a product display on Tuesday and got everything set. We then went through all the new 2020 coaches with the owners to show them what is new and provide them with our overall product strategy for Entegra Coach, what we did for model changeover and why. Then today, (Wednesday) we kicked off numerous seminars. We probably have about 16 educational and technical seminars going on here at the fairgrounds for the next two days.”

Owners attending the Homecoming register in advance for the wide variety of technical training and operational education classes about different aspects traveling in the Entegra Coach. In addition, a Vendor Fair was held on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Our chassis maker Spartan (Spartan Specialty Vehicles and Chassis) is a big part of these seminars providing instruction on various aspects of the chassis in 10 seminars over the next two and a half days.” said Carroll. “The whole event caters to owners and the operation of these complex luxury motor coaches we build. But it also brings everybody together in the community of owning one of these coaches. This is a select group. Only a small percent – 2% of the RV industry – own these high-end coaches.”

Carroll stated that the educational seminars were provided by a wide variety of sponsor suppliers to the OEM without which the depth of education and product knowledge would not be possible. Presenters included: Airxcel, Aqua-Hot, An Rvers Friend, Coach-Net, Diamond Shield, DMJ Supplies, Entegra Coach Owners Association, Elkhart Satellite Systems, Equalizer Systems, Equity Lifestyle Properties, Evans TempCon, Firefly, Flexsteel Industries, Inc., Future Sales RV, G&L RV Specialities, Girard Systems, KleenTank, Magne Shade, MORryde International, Inc., On The Go Portable Water Softener, Ramco, Riverpark, Southwire Company, Spartan, Summit Products, Thetford, Trikaroo, Truck System Technologies Inc., Bob Gunn Associates and Winegard Company.”

Carroll said that Entegra Coach owners drove to the event from as far away as West Texas and Alaska, adding “this is the biggest event of about eight rallies a year organized by the owners and the company all around the country.” There are now 4,547 registered members.

“Many owners come in a little early for the event,” he said. “Some have been here since last Friday. Many get help with maintenance and repairs while they are here as well.”

But the event offers more than education and business. He said the owners also have a very good camaraderie and enjoy the company-sponsored events at the Entegra Coach Homecoming.

“Tonight we have a circus-themed dinner and tomorrow night we have a prom night event,” he said.
