Mike Greene, formerly of auto industry supplier Dana Corp., has been named vice president of manufacturing at Workhorse Custom Chassis, a supplier of gas and diesel engine Class A motorhome chassis.
Workhorse is a subsidiary of GVW Holdings, a unit of private equity firm The Carlyle Group. Workhorse also builds bus, and walk-in truck chassis as well as complete walk-in trucks.
Greene joins Workhorse following a 30-year career at Dana, a supplier with $8 billion in annual sales of modules, systems and components for light, commercial and off-highway vehicle OEMs.
“Mike is a proven manufacturing leader and brings a tremendous amount of experience to the company,” said Dave Olsen, president of Workhorse. “I look forward to working closely with him and the entire Workhorse team as we continue to leverage our position and build momentum as the leader in chassis manufacturing.”
Most recently, Greene was president of Global Engineering and Technology for Dana’s $4 billion Automotive Systems Group. Previously, he served as president of the Structural Products Group and president of the Driveshaft Group.
Greene said he was “excited to be part of the Workhorse team. Its innovative product development and professional organization make this a growth opportunity that I’m privileged to be involved with.”
