The first 10,000 editions of the Coleman Eastern U.S.A. Campground & RV Park Directory have hit the streets, courtesy of Clydesdale Publishing, Inc. of Sebastian, Fla.
The Florida company, which last year purchased Anderson’s Campground and RV Travel Park Directory, has obtained rights to use the Coleman name through a licensing agreement with The Coleman Co. Inc., Wichita, Kan.
The 364-page directory, printed on magazine quality paper, includes campground descriptions, driving directions, key contact information and full-color maps for 24 states with an-easy-to-read index of parks before each state’s listings. Pricing information is included for some parks. The directory does not include campground ratings.
Sharon Heussner, Clydesdale Publishing’s director of brochure distribution and directory sales, said the first 10,000 editions of the Coleman Eastern U.S.A. Campground & RV Park Directory were produced in June. The directory is available for $12.95 (plus shipping and handling) by phone or through Coleman’s website.
Plans call for the directory’s 2004 edition to be available in January, Heussner said, adding that Clydesdale will market the publication through Barnes & Noble, RV dealers, other retail locations and at upcoming RV shows.
Heussner said the company eventually will produce a regional directory for the western U.S., with a third edition later focusing on the midsection of the country. Clydesdale’s initial priority, however, is to refine its initial eastern offering.
